CV: Gabri van Tussenbroek (°1969) is a building historian at the Heritage Department of the Municipality of Amsterdam and since 2015, he has been a professor of Urban Identity and Listed Buildings, in particular those of the City of Amsterdam, at the University of Amsterdam. In 2001, he successfully defended his PhD, The Architectural Network of the van Neurenberg Family in the Low Countries (1480-1640) at Utrecht University. From 2001 until 2005, he was postdoc researcher at the Technical University of Berlin. He is the co-editor of the handbook for Dutch building history, Inleiding in de bouwhistorie. Opmeten en onderzoeken van oude gebouwen (3rd edition Utrecht 2015), wrote a book on building contracts in the Netherlands ‘Alzo zult gijlieden dat maken’. Gebruik en ontwikkeling van bouwcontracten en bestekken in de Noordelijke en Zuidelijke Nederlanden tot 1650, Primavera Pers, Leiden 2013 and is member of the Board of Editors of the Bulletin of the Royal Dutch Archaeological Society [Koninklijke Nederlandse Oudheidkundige Bond].
