CV: Christoph Rauhut (°1984) works as policy advisor to the German Cultural Heritage Committee and was senior research assistant at the Institute of Historic Building Research and Conservation of the ETH Zurich from 2009 to 2015. He studied architecture at RWTH Aachen University and at ETH Zurich and a received a PhD in 2014. His thesis deals with the transformation of construction sites in Zurich in the late nineteenth century (title: Die Praxis der Baustelle um 1900: Das Zürcher Stadthaus Fraumünsteramt). Main research areas are construction history in the 19th century, the scientification of building knowledge in the nineteenth and twentieth century and architectural history of the first half of the twentieth century. He is founding member of the Gesellschaft für Bautechnikgeschichte (German Construction History Society) and since 2013 member of the society’s board.
